Ralph – General Manager
Ralph started his interest in Land Rovers at the tender age of 9, working on a Series 1 86”. On leaving school, he joined the Army as a Royal Corps of Transport driver for four years. After a brief spell of lorry driving, he then worked at a general garage. A few years later he then joined an independent Land Rover specialist as a Technician. He joined Mansfield 4×4 in 1994 as Workshop Manager and was made Manager at Bury St Edmunds in 2001.

Craig – Parts Manager
Craig became an apprentice Technician for Volkswagen in 1986. He then moved to the Parts Department in 1991. Five years later he became the Parts Manager for an Audi dealer. In 2002 he became a Parts Advisor for a Land Rover franchise. He joined Mansfield 4×4 as the Parts manager in 2011.

Frank – Workshop Manager
Frank started at Mansfield 4×4 as a Saturday helper while still at school. He then took an apprenticeship through us to gain his level 3 NVQ. Since then Frank has taken part in many courses and studies to keep up to date with modern day complex motor vehicle electronic systems. He is also a qualified MOT Tester.

Bruce – Workshop Co-ordinator
Shortly after leaving school, Bruce joined the Royal Corps of Transport. After thirteen years of service, he started work as a Technician at an independent Land Rover specialist. He joined Mansfield 4×4 in 1993 as a Senior Technician before taking over his current role 18 months ago.

Wayne – Technician
Wayne started his career as an apprentice with a British Leyland garage. Having attained his City and Guilds certificates he then went on to work for several different franchises including Toyota, Vauxhall, Lexus and Volvo. He joined Mansfield 4×4 in 2005 as a senior technician.

Megan – Technician
Megan started her career working on Saturdays at a tyre and exhaust centre. She then started as a full time technician and achieved her NVQ level 1 and 2. After working as a Technician for 2 other general garages on both car and commercial vehicles, she joined Mansfield 4×4 in 2016. Megan is also a qualified MOT tester.
Current vehicle; Discovery 1 (Daisy)
Darren – Technician.
Darren started his working life as a Commercial truck fitter. He then went on to work at a general garage for several years before moving to a race car specialist. Here he carried out rolling road and suspension set ups. He joined Mansfield 4×4 in 2013.
Current vehicle; Ford Transit Camper
Robert – Technician
Robert started as an apprentice working with Bedford Trucks. In 1990 he began work as a recovery mechanic.
He then went to a Citroen dealer as a Technician before joining us in 2013.
Current vehicle; Vauxhall Frontera
Toby – Technician
Toby came to us for work experience from Bury St Edmunds college. He then went on to take an apprenticeship with us and achieved his Level 2 City and Guilds certificate. He is currently studying for his Level 3 certificate.
Current vehicle; Land Rover 90, Automatic Freelander
Alex – Technician
Alex started out as an apprentice at EMG and then went on to work at a gearbox specialist. He then went on to work in a Suzuki specialist as a master technician before joining us in late 2017.
Current vehicle; BMW E36
Alex – Parts Assistant
Alex was introduced to the 4×4 world at a young age by being taken out green-laning in a Land Rover Defender. He was then re-introduced to it a couple years ago and has since purchased his first project 4×4 as well as joining us as a parts assistant.
Current vehicle; Freelander 1
Connor – Apprentice
Connor joined us as an apprentice in March 2018 and has since been trained on many different machines and has learnt many different things to do with 4×4’s.
Current vehicle; VW Polo
Cameron – Apprentice
Cameron joined us in 2017 as an apprentice and has almost completed his level 3.
