Ralph – General Manager

Ralph started his interest in Land Rovers at the tender age of 9, working on a Series 1 86”. On leaving school, he joined the Army as a Royal Corps of Transport driver for four years. After a brief spell of lorry driving, he then worked at a general garage. A few years later he then joined an independent Land Rover specialist as a Technician. He joined Mansfield 4×4 in 1994 as Workshop Manager and was made Manager at Bury St Edmunds in 2001.

Wayne – Workshop Manager

Wayne started his career as an apprentice with a British Leyland garage. Having attained his City and Guilds certificates he then went on to work for several different franchises including Toyota, Vauxhall, Lexus and Volvo. He joined Mansfield 4×4 in 2005 as a senior technician and progressed to his current position.

Craig – Parts Manager

Craig became an apprentice Technician for Volkswagen in 1986. He then moved to the Parts Department in 1991. Five years later he became the Parts Manager for an Audi dealer. In 2002 he became a Parts Advisor for a Land Rover franchise. He joined Mansfield 4×4 as the Parts manager in 2011.

Bruce – Workshop Co-ordinator

Shortly after leaving school, Bruce joined the Royal Corps of Transport. After thirteen years of service, he started work as a Technician at an independent Land Rover specialist. He joined Mansfield 4×4 in 1993 as a Senior Technician before taking over his current role 18 months ago.

Megan –Parts administrator

Megan started her career working on Saturdays at a tyre and exhaust centre. She then started as a full time technician and achieved her NVQ level 1 and 2. After working as a Technician for 2 other general garages on both car and commercial vehicles, she joined Mansfield 4×4 in 2016.

Adam – Senior Technician.

Adam joined us in 2003 as an apprentice and studied to gain his Level 3 City and Guilds certificates. He then went on to take his HNC Certificate and has stayed with us throughout his career. Adam is also a qualified MOT Tester

Frank – Diagnostic Technician

Frank started at Mansfield 4×4 as a Saturday helper while still at school. He then took an apprenticeship through us to gain his level 3 NVQ. Since then Frank has taken part in many courses and studies to keep up to date with modern day complex motor vehicle electronic systems. He is also a qualified MOT Tester.

Darren – Technician.

Darren started his working life as a Commercial truck fitter. He then went on to work at a general garage for several years before moving to a race car specialist. Here he carried out rolling road and suspension set ups. He joined Mansfield 4×4 in 2013.

Robert – Technician

Robert started as an apprentice working with Bedford Trucks. In 1990 he began work as a recovery mechanic.

He then went to a Citroen dealer as a Technician before joining us in 2013.

Toby – Technician

Toby came to us for work experience from  Bury St Edmunds college. He then went on to take an apprenticeship with us and achieved his Level 2 City and Guilds certificate. He is currently studying for his Level 3 certificate.

Chris – Apprentice Technician.

Chris joined Mansfield 4×4 in 2016. Having originally studied Agriculture, he decided that farming was not for him and entered the 4×4 world. Chris is currently working to achieve his Level 2 certificate at Ipswich College.
